Should Elon Musk Sit Down With Bill Gates to Discuss Climate?

Image
The beef soup between Bill Gates and Elon Musk doesn't seem to be simmering down any time soon!  The two had a small online spat during the pandemic in 2020 but it seems that engine has revved up again recently when Bill Gates sat down with Bloomberg to discuss his climate tech investments and solutions.  These two men have tremendous influence, intelligence and resources that, when combined in partnership, could do so much good for the world.  The world will never know why the two businessmen choose to keep a distance.  It's actually a bit pitiful and kind of like watching a father and son throw digs at the other every so often.  They probably could learn a fair amount of knowledge from each other if they were to put their small differences aside. There are indicators that lead me to believe that the two would get along IRL if they were both willing to clear a time in their schedules, plan a meeting and have a serious discussion about matters that are near and dear to the bot

Poosh Wellness Festival 2020

Image
Poosh’s 1st Wellness Festival took place yesterday! This self-care retreat was an experience with 12 virtual sessions on topics such as DIY flower arrangement and skin care, detoxing your shower routine, and more. The virtual festival kicked off with a matcha opening ceremony and a quick interview between Kourtney Kardashian and her best friend Sarah. Kourtney elaborated on the reason she started Poosh: “When I started Poosh, I really loved the most—the idea of sharing a lifestyle and of sharing information with people in a non judgmental, just really accessible way.” Kourtney also said that she would receive questions about the foods she was eating or about her lifestyle and from there, the idea for Poosh developed. As for this wellness festival, she mentioned that she wanted to dedicate a day to bringing a live wellness experience to people. Standout Sessions I thought all of the sessions were informative. It was a nice peek into the natural health and wellness lifestyle for those

Green Festival Expo 2016 Review: SOS Naturals

Image
SOS Naturals I was pleased to find this all natural mosquito repellent from SOS Naturals. Mosquitos are certainly a bother during the summer months.  While it hasn’t been tried out for effectiveness, you'll be pleased to know that it did win “Best Natural Product” in Long Island. Mosquito repellants purchased in stores tend to have weird smelling scents. Not this one!!! The scent is quite pleasant!  SOS Naturals makes an array of therapeutic sprays and miscellaneous skin care items.  Visit the website at: http://www.sosnaturalproducts.com

Green Festival Expo 2016: Chocolate Moonshine Co

Image
Chocolate Moonshine Co Upon walking into the Green Festival Expo, we caught sight of a display with all these colorful, artisan fudge bars.  These bars are yummylicious!!! They really are 'illegally good' as their motto states! They are of the soft, melt in your mouth variety. I purchased strawberry cheesecake, sea salt caramel, and mint chocolate. They are made using imported Belgian chocolate.  The bars are gluten free, egg free, handmade and all natural! The artisan bars aren’t sold online or in stores.  Chocolate moonshine co is available as a pop up retail shop and for special events. Shop Chocolate Moonshine:  https://www.chocolatemoonshine.com/

Green Festival Expo 2016 Review: The FayFarm

Image
The FayFarm The FayFarm had a three for 20 deal at their vendor area.  Hemp is a featured ingredient in The Fayfarm’s products.  I purchased the Healing Hemp Salve which contains Hemp, herb infused olive, castor and avocado oils, beeswax, CBD oil & essential oils.  This salve is good for moisturizing rough patches or spots.  The product is supposed to be effective at healing those suffering from eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis, burns and bug bites.  The CBD oil present acts as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent. Tasty CBD Chews come in a pack of four and are infused with 100mg of caffeine and 5mg of CBD oil, vitamin B12, Vitamin B6. These chews are great whenever you need that kick or jolt to get your day going! not a huge fan of caffeine being in the product.  The flavor sour apple is featured here. The last item we received was a soft Frisbee made from hemp! It held up fairly well outside during a game of Frisbee.  It would also make a nice toy for a pet! Visit the website

Green Festival Expo 2016 Review: Hush + Dotti

Image
There were so many amazing brands and companies that were in attendance at the 2016 Green Festival Expo in NYC. Here is a product review of one of cosmetic company, Hush + Dotti. Hush + Dotti Review Firstly…can I just talk about the name of this company?! Hush + Dotti is such a cute name!!!! Oh, how I love it!  I stopped by the Hush & Dotti’s vendor area when I saw all the pretty organic lipsticks and other cosmetics that were organized on the table.  Dina was very pleasant in answering questions that I had about the products.  I remember asking her if the one shade of red lipstick was the only one they carried.  It was nice but I desired a hue that was a bit brighter!  Instead, I opted for a coral colored lipstick, which looks fantastic on tanned/darker complexions.  The shade name is Dotti.  I also chose a lip gloss that is a glossy shade of burgundy in shade Wendi.  It’s pretty amazing!!  The packaging is really chic and minimal for cosmetics.  The lipsticks are in a standard bl

Green Festival Expo 2016 Review: In Harmony Naturals

Image
In Harmony Naturals I was happy to find a few cosmetic companies at Green Festival, NYC.  The next table that I stopped at was In Harmony, LLC.  They carry mineral makeup and skin care products.  The woman behind the table matched me to a foundation and I was surprised by how alluring it looked on my skin.  This foundation is definitely buildable in  light-medium coverage.  I have used it as a finishing powder for counteracting the shine from my liquid foundation.  When you open the foundation, you’ll see the holes that allow for the minerals to come out.  Using your mineral makeup brush, you just shake the product slightly and sweep your brush against the opening and apply it to your face.  It offers a nice, matte finish. The price was $35. The pecan shade is a little darker than what I expected after doing a full face.  I’d recommend In Harmony design a shade between pecan and walnut. The other product that I purchased from In Harmony Naturals is a lavender body butter.  It claims to
