Tempo meals is a weekly food delivery service that offers flavorful protein centered meals in the quantity of your choosing.  If you’ve been rocking with the Green News Guide then you might have read previous reviews about other food delivery services such as Cook Unity, Mosaic or Gobble.  Tempo was originally launched by Home Chef in October of 2023.  I found their meal selection process to be super easy and the website was very user friendly.  Customers can select the subscription of their choice based on the number of meals desired on a weekly basis. One can opt for a quantity of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 meals per week at $11 per serving.   Ordering & Delivery process Tempo’s meals usually feature a protein (beef, chicken, fish, shrimp) that is usually paired with a vegetable medley.  There is also the choice to select from “premium” meal options that are about $3-$5 additional per serving.  One con that I noticed about Tempo is that there...

Poosh Wellness Festival 2020

Poosh’s 1st Wellness Festival took place yesterday! This self-care retreat was an experience with 12 virtual sessions on topics such as DIY flower arrangement and skin care, detoxing your shower routine, and more. The virtual festival kicked off with a matcha opening ceremony and a quick interview between Kourtney Kardashian and her best friend Sarah. Kourtney elaborated on the reason she started Poosh:

“When I started Poosh, I really loved the most—the idea of sharing a lifestyle and of sharing information with people in a non judgmental, just really accessible way.”
Kourtney also said that she would receive questions about the foods she was eating or about her lifestyle and from there, the idea for Poosh developed. As for this wellness festival, she mentioned that she wanted to dedicate a day to bringing a live wellness experience to people.
Standout Sessions
I thought all of the sessions were informative. It was a nice peek into the natural health and wellness lifestyle for those who are newbies to it. There were a few standouts that I enjoyed most at POOSH Wellness Festival! They were:
1.) Glutes Workout and Post Workout Smoothie with Courtney King (Courtney had such amazing energy and put together a glutes workout that is sure to get results)! It was leg day on steroids! I put my own spin on the smoothie which I’ll share in another post : )

2.) Lymphatic Drainage Facial with Camila Perez with Adrienne as a lively subject (Camilla spilled her prized secrets to giving a spectacular lymphatic drainage facial. This is a wellness activity that can be useful for folks who take self-care seriously, especially considering the lack of access to wellness retreats and centers at the moment).

3.) DIY Body scrub with Nyakio Kamoche Grieko (The one key ingredient in Nyakio’s scrub was coffee but not just any ole coffee…East African Kenyan coffee which is said to have notes of citrus in the flavor.) Though I’m not a fan of caffeine, I will acknowledge that it has benefits for the skin. It was nice hearing Nyakio’s story about her grandparents who passed on body care recipes to her.

4.) Guided Meditation with Ryan Haddon (Ryan offered self affirmations that were empowering and soul-elevating).

5.) How to Take the Perfect Selfie with Malika Haqq and Roxy Rodriguez (For some, taking the perfect selfie can be a mood lifter (haha)! There was a phone featured in this session that wowed the techie in me. The phone was foldable and seems perfectly designed for taking selfies. Turns out, it is called, the Samsung Galaxy Z flip. That’s a really cool phone!

After the festival, participants were given a virtual gift bag with promos for products from sponsoring brands. My only gripe about the festival is that I thought the event was going to be live streamed. Sessions were pre-recorded. I can see this being a really amazing retreat-style in-person event once life normalizes again.
Well—that’s a wrap Ms. Kourtney and a good wrap at that--so klaps to you for following your primary purpose of pooshing people into health and wellness.
