Coffee Tea?! My Coffee Secret

NCDT (National Coffee Data Trends) have reported that as much as 67% of Americans drink coffee on a daily basis.  That amount increases to 75% when determining the amount of adults who drink coffee on a weekly basis.  One lesser know fact is that the global coffee market is expected to reach 182 billion by the year 2030.  What is it about that little dark bean, available in so many varieties, that cause people to be unable to go about their daily lives without it?  It must be the flavor as some people swear by coffees made in various countries.  If it's not Columbian or Jamaican coffee, some will not even touch the mug.  Then there are the coffee chain fan clubs who must have their daily Starbucks or Tim Horton's signature espresso in the morning.  Let's be real, the taste of coffee isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when dark.  Quite possibly, it may be the alertness that coffee provides after consumption which have some people hooked.   The alertness and

Nicki Minaj Questions the Covid Vaccines and Encourages Others to do So

Nicki Minaj recently posted tweets where she did not actively promote the vaccine and instead encouraged others to pray about their choice and not be bullied by anyone about vaccine decision-making.  She also tweeted about her personal experience of learning that her cousin’s friend in Trinidad suffered side effects, which resulted in enlarged or swollen testicles and impotence.   She stated that her cousin's friend in Trinidad was engaged but because of these side effects, his fiancĂ©e called off their wedding and no longer wanted to marry.   This wasn’t the only statement that she tweeted though it is the only one that mainstream news outlets ran with. Nicki also admitted that she had Covid-19 and while it was a requirement for her to be vaccinated to attend the Met Gala over the weekend, she said she was not going to get vaccinated for an event like that and instead would only get vaccinated once she’s done her own research. She further went on to encourage people to wear their m

Notch Free iPhone Coming?

Is Apple getting ready to reveal a notch-less iphone? The notch is probably the #1 design issue that iphone users dislike the most since its introduction on the iphone X in 2017. The large notch in the middle of the screen takes away from the edge-to-edge display. Placing the notch in the current location of the phone was not a good design idea.   Apple filed for a patent that expands the phone display, eliminates the notch and scrolls from within. When the display expands, the notch suddenly will become hidden.   The patent was recently won on July 20th.  Did iphone users even care all that much for an edge-to-edge display? Probably not, however, it’s possible that Apple may have wanted to introduce a phone that is somewhat similar to their competitors. When Apple removed the physical home button from their phone a few years ago, they received a ton of backlash and they’re probably still receiving it today.  Some users have publicly voiced their opinions about Apple and its current st

Natural Immunity vs Vaccine Immunity: Who Really Fares Better?

Does natural immunity from having COVID-19 trump vaccine induced immunity?! A resounding YES!  Israeli researchers conducted a study comparing immunity of those who previously tested positive for Covid-19 against those who received the Pfizer/BionTech Covid-19 vaccine (Gazit et al., 2021).  The study was the largest study completed to compare natural immunity to vaccine induced immunity. Those who have recovered from the virus naturally were found to have lowered risk from contracting the Delta variant in comparison to those who received a 2 injection dose of the Pfizer-BionTech vaccine.  The Mu variant of the virus has recently entered society and it’s no secret that natural immunity offers better protection against the various variants than any vaccine. If attempting to make a decision on whether you should receive the vaccine and you’ve already had COVID-19, there is certainly no need to do so.  Individuals who have received two doses of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine are 13 times like

What Kept Steve Jobs Powered to Create and Change the World

It will be exactly 10 years since the death of Steve Jobs on October 5, 2011. Today, I’m remembering someone who I was fascinated with.  Steve Jobs was an iconic tech leader and businessman. Some would’ve described his approaches and beliefs as unorthodox while others would commend him for them. When pondering the question, “What is Apple?” in an interview with Time, Jobs stated:  “ Apple is about people who think outside the box, people who want to use computers to change the world, to help them create things that make a difference ."  He encouraged others to refrain from adhering to dogma and “living with the results of other people’s thinking.”  During his Stanford commencement speech he exclaimed, “ Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. ” He was a firm believer in following one’s own heart and intuition. Steve Jobs was very particular about the way that he ran his company and this characteristic influenced his views about other domains
