Processed food is widely available in grocery stores and wholesale food markets all over the United States. Fast food restaurants are practically on every block and corner. Fast food and processed food has been a significant part of American culture. The foods that Americans are consuming may have to do with the increasing rates of diabetes, heart disease and cancer that our society is currently experiencing. Consuming food and drinks that are plant-based, nutrient-filled and organic is the best route to inner and outer health. Fast food and processed food can affect the body's acid-alkaline balance.
