Should Elon Musk Sit Down With Bill Gates to Discuss Climate?

Image
The beef soup between Bill Gates and Elon Musk doesn't seem to be simmering down any time soon!  The two had a small online spat during the pandemic in 2020 but it seems that engine has revved up again recently when Bill Gates sat down with Bloomberg to discuss his climate tech investments and solutions.  These two men have tremendous influence, intelligence and resources that, when combined in partnership, could do so much good for the world.  The world will never know why the two businessmen choose to keep a distance.  It's actually a bit pitiful and kind of like watching a father and son throw digs at the other every so often.  They probably could learn a fair amount of knowledge from each other if they were to put their small differences aside. There are indicators that lead me to believe that the two would get along IRL if they were both willing to clear a time in their schedules, plan a meeting and have a serious discussion about matters that are near and dear to the bot

Revelations from Super Soul Sunday with Whole Foods Founder, John Mackey

Image
Earlier this year, Oprah Winfrey sat down with John Mackey, co-founder of Whole Foods Incorporation, for her Super Soul Sunday Series on the OWN Network. There is one simple ingredient that Whole Foods was birthed from and it is--LOVE! As a Whole Foods customer, it's one thing to enjoy going down the natural food isles in the store but it's a real joy to learn how such an awesome grocery store came into being. Mackey provided the audience with remarkable insight about his life, fulfilling one's higher purpose and sound wisdom concerning ethical business practice. Birthing Whole Foods John Mackey was a student in university when the idea for a natural and organic foods grocery store came to him and his friend at the time. Mackey's parents desired for him to assume a typically coveted profession in society. His mother wanted him to become a doctor or lawyer. Deep down, Mackey knew that this was not what he wanted for himself and he decided to break away from what

People's Climate March 2014 and UN Climate Change Summit

Image
On People's Climate March Two days before the United Nations Climate Summit, thousands of people marched through the streets of New York City carrying an array of different signs. Mayor Bill de Blasio, Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and Sting were among those in attendance at the People's Climate Summit. This ground breaking march took place on September 21, 2014 as a coalition effort to raise awareness about climate change and to urge government officials and lawmakers to take action on this global issue. Politicians have been warned repeatedly about the problems surrounding climate change. At the march, protesters spoke about the need for industrial nations to make the switch over to renewable energy. The seven hour march proved to be a unified and effective effort whose sole purpose was to awaken change within the country. People want action. The world is taking notice. Future demonstrations such as the People's Climate March will

New York Fashion Week: Kate Spade's Nature Inspired Collection

Image
New York Fashion Week has come and gone just as quickly as it came! The runways were fragranced with the scent of blissful spring air as models sashayed down the runways. The top three collections from Mercedes Benz Fashion week Spring & Summer 2015 would have to be Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta and the lovely Dennis Basso. Oscar de la Renta painted such a beautiful picture of a dreamy, picture perfect spring day. With the romantic floral prints amidst green backdrops, you'd think you were laying in a bed of thick, fresh cut grass sniffing a row of tulips, daisies and alpine flowers. How, oh how, does Mr. de la Renta do it?! Naeem Khan's designs were gracious and bold all at the same time. Silky bow ties juxtaposed with long, sheer gowns provided all the glitz needed to feed the glamorous woman's heart. At Dennis Basso, we learn the rules of how to wear a bombshell faux fur in the spring time. With all that said, we have to give the Green Award for fashion to Kate
