The Princess of Wales brings Awareness to Holistic Healthcare Upon Completion of Three Peaks Challenge

The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks challenge over the weekend.  The challenge involves a blend of driving and trekking through three of the highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales--Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa. The challenge areas cover 23 miles of walking distance along with a 462 mile drive between each peak.   The challenge is open to the public and many aim to walk to the summit of the peaks within 24 hours.  However, the trek is so grueling and extensive that only 40% of the individuals attempting the challenge are able to complete it within this timeframe.  It is recommended that individuals desiring to complete the Three Peaks Challenge engage in strength training over a period of eight to twelve weeks. Whether Catherine engaged in strength training is unknown but she has always been quite athletic.  Not only did Catherine complete the challenge--she is part of the smaller percentage of people who were able to comp...

The New Beyond Steak: Green News Guide Reviews

The new meatless steak by Beyond Meat is a hot item.  I can count at least two times where I intended to purchase Beyond Meat’s new meatless steak and it was completely out of stock in both stores.  I am going to give you the real deal nitty gritty about Beyond Steak.

When I first heard about Beyond Meat’s new steak and looked at a picture of the package, I thought, “hmmmm….will this be similar to the taste of Gardein’s beefless tips?" They do look kind of similar to each other.  Even though I have used Gardein’s beefless steak in various recipes, I’m not sold out about the taste.  That product has somewhat of a cardboard taste (not gonna lie)!  When I finally got my hands on Beyond Meat’s Steak courtesy of Amazon Fresh, I instantly thought about the recipe that I would use it for.  I decided to do a seared mixup with some peppers and onions on top a bed of fluffy rice.  I was pleasantly surprised at how great Beyond Steak tastes as well as how similar the texture is to real steak.  Now I was a steak lover when I used to indulge in meat so you can certainly trust this review because it’s coming from a solid former steak lover.

Beyond Meat’s meatless steak has a firm yet tender texture reminiscent of a real juicy steak.  It was meaty, savory and flavorful. Not only that, it even looks really similar to sliced steak chunks.  I’m so shocked at how similar to steak it tastes!  Are you kidding me, Beyond Meat (insert googly-eyed smiling face)?!!

The team over at Beyond Meat are working miracles on the daily. I don’t know how they do it but they do! They are helping to save our planet by providing the masses with great tasting non GMO meatless alternatives.  If you dont already know how meat consumption contributes to harming our planet see this article: Beef and Meat Free Environmental Impact Pledge

The Beyond steak offers such great taste and get this: I even fed this to non-vegetarians and they loved it too!!!! No crumbs left.  You know what this means! Beyond Meat you’ve got a total winner in this meatless steak.

What I’d love to see the Beyond Meat brand develop next is a non-breaded meatless chicken because so far, absolutely no one has been able to get that right.  I’m still hoping and wishing on a star.  I’m also sure all our chicken friends who’ve moved on to animal heaven are too ; )
