The Princess of Wales brings Awareness to Holistic Healthcare Upon Completion of Three Peaks Challenge

Image
The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks challenge over the weekend.  The challenge involves a blend of driving and trekking through three of the highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales--Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa. The challenge areas cover 23 miles of walking distance along with a 462 mile drive between each peak.   The challenge is open to the public and many aim to walk to the summit of the peaks within 24 hours.  However, the trek is so grueling and extensive that only 40% of the individuals attempting the challenge are able to complete it within this timeframe.  It is recommended that individuals desiring to complete the Three Peaks Challenge engage in strength training over a period of eight to twelve weeks. Whether Catherine engaged in strength training is unknown but she has always been quite athletic.  Not only did Catherine complete the challenge--she is part of the smaller percentage of people who were able to comp...

Who is Tesla Rival Lucid Motors?

The other day I came across a commercial for an unknown electric car company. I saw the bold white Lucid letters across the screen and wondered who they were. Most people are familiar with Tesla. This prompted me to look into it a bit further and I was surprised by what I learned.

Lucid Motors, formerly known as startup Atieva, was founded by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng in 2007. Bernard once served as a VP and board member at Tesla for four years, after which he left to go on to establish Atieva, Inc. Atieva changed its name to Lucid Motors in 2016 and has recently introduced its first electric car called the Lucid Air. Love the name btw! Peter Rawlinson is the CTO and CEO of Lucid Motors but he was also a VP at Tesla and head engineer of the Model S. Lucid Motors is not yet public and is funded by the government of Saudi Arabia (PIF).

Since we know that Peter designed Model S, lets try to understand how it compares to the 2021 Lucid Air. Lucid Air has a retail starting price of $69,900 USD after a federal tax credit compared to the 2021 Model S at $69,420 USD. The actual price with no credit is $77, 400 USD. The Lucid Air features up to 1080 horsepower, a Pur Luxe animal free interior and also boasts an independently tested EPA range of 517 miles. This is 115 miles farther than Tesla’s Model S.

Lucid Motors is offering three years of complimentary charging at Electrify America’s vast network of charging stations if any of the Lucid Air models are reserved. The Lucid Air is available is 5 colors:

Stellar White
Infinite Black
Cosmos Silver
Quantum Gray
Zenith Red

The four Trims available are:

Lucid Air
Lucid Air Touring
Lucid Air Grand Touring
Lucid Air Dream Edition

The exterior of Lucid Air has an even more beautiful and timeless design than Model S.

One thing is for sure: Tesla, brace yourselves. You’ve got some serious competition on the horizon.
But that's completely okay.....the environment is all the more better for it!
