Tempo meals is a weekly food delivery service that offers flavorful protein centered meals in the quantity of your choosing.  If you’ve been rocking with the Green News Guide then you might have read previous reviews about other food delivery services such as Cook Unity, Mosaic or Gobble.  Tempo was originally launched by Home Chef in October of 2023.  I found their meal selection process to be super easy and the website was very user friendly.  Customers can select the subscription of their choice based on the number of meals desired on a weekly basis. One can opt for a quantity of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 meals per week at $11 per serving.   Ordering & Delivery process Tempo’s meals usually feature a protein (beef, chicken, fish, shrimp) that is usually paired with a vegetable medley.  There is also the choice to select from “premium” meal options that are about $3-$5 additional per serving.  One con that I noticed about Tempo is that there...

Why the COVID-19 Pandemic was a Blessing in Disguise

During the coronavirus outbreak when all the cases had reached a peak and everyone was in a frantic state, I knew that the lockdown was only going to last but for so long. During this time, I had been telling close family members that June was going to be the month that the virus would begin a downward descend and life would regain a sense of normalcy after being in total lockdown. Some of them were apprehensive and disbelieving and some had hopes that I would be right.

It was declared in the Green News Guide that Coronavirus was an actual pandemic in February when WHO and the CDC blindly refused to admit that it was. Can you believe that? WHO and the CDC actually denied that Covid-19 was a pandemic after it had been spreading so quickly throughout Europe and China At this time there were only 53 cases in the USA. But did it really matter how few cases there were? A pandemic is a pandemic.

How could a virus rise from 53 U.S. cases on Feb 25th to a recorded 1.8 million U.S. cases on June 2nd?

Some type of monstrosity! Meanwhile, the country where it first began never went beyond 84,000 cases. The world should feel grateful and relieved that cases are steadily dropping each day. The US epicenter will begin phase 1 of its reopening on June 8th.
The Coronavirus outbreak of 2020 was an occurrence that will never be forgotten. It was a time when all went quiet, time slowed, and the world experienced the plight of the human experience together. Humanity was humbled during this time. It also served as an equalizer of those from all walks of society. It starkly reminded us that we’re all on borrowed time. So if there’s a dream that you want to achieve, put that dream into motion. If there’s a plan that you’ve thought up, take the appropriate steps to start working your plan. Did you let the turn of events overcome you or were you able to maintain a positive outlook about the future?
The most important action that took place during this time is that people learned to care. Humanity learned about what it means to care for your fellow human being. Food was brought to those in need. Senior citizens were given first place and assisted in various communities. People checked on their neighbors. People were vocal about injustices and human rights for POC. People decided to become vegetarian or vegan and some were forced to do so due to the meat shortage.
Did it have to take a deadly virus such as COVID-19 for people to learn how to care again? Covid-19 basically came out of nowhere and absolutely no one was expecting a random virus to shake up the year 2020. Even though it’s been a wild time with some experiencing loss of life and a downward turn of events, resilience of the human race has been a result. Mother earth decided to give everyone a wake up call and though the earth will never be the same, we’re all better for it.
We needed this. We all needed to learn how to care again.
