The Queen on Climate Change: "'The time for Words has now moved to the time for action!"

Queen Elizabeth made a headlining address to individuals in attendance at the COP26 UN Climate Change Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.   The Queen spoke with a sense of urgency highlighting the importance of prioritizing the global climate change problem, essentially stating, “If we fail to cope with this challenge, all the other problems will pale into insignificance.” The Queen, dressed symbolically in green and wore a triple strand delicate pearl necklace and a beautiful diamond and gemstone brooch given to her by her beloved husband, Prince Philip.  She remembered him in her speech and his photograph was seen right behind her.  She emphasized that Prince Philip was a great respecter of the environment who shared his love of the earth with his children and grandchildren. Happy World Vegan Day Folks! I was actually reflecting the other day on how glad I was that I stopped eating meat.  It’s really the best decision that I have ever made for myself.  Not only am I living a healthier life, I know that I'm also doing a whole lot of good for the planet.    The fact is that eating animals contributes greatly to the worsening climate crisis. Did you know that 15% of all greenhouse gas emissions are derived from animal emissions?  Going vegan or vegetarian is not only beneficial for overall health and well being but also for the health of our earth.  On this World Vegan Day, I’m appreciating all the vegans around the globe.    Now, you probably went vegan for different reasons.  Perhaps it was an “I just love animals and I don’t want to eat them” decision or maybe you went vegan for better health.
